The primary focus of our work will continue to be on Africa.
Our track record in Africa
We've been working in Africa since 1991. Our first African project country was Ghana, followed by Zambia, Malawi and Sierra Leone. From 1994 to 2002 we've also worked in Tanzania, in partnership with Dorcas Aid International.
The primary focus of our work is and will continue to be on Africa, where the need for support of development efforts is greatest, and the costs for mission trips are most affordable. In Africa, the prospects of achieving the Millennium Development Goals are poorest compared with other regions. Africa is most affected by HIV/AIDS and conflicts, and the number of low-income countries remains large.
Where in Africa?
We currently support projects in 6 countries throughout Africa:
- In East Africa, we support a water & sanitation program in Ethiopia and organize Indepth Trips to Kenya.
- In Central Africa, we operate in Central Zambia, East Zambia, Malawi, and South Africa. In Zambia we support two education programs and in South Africa we help Youth for Christ South Africa develop its own World Servants ministry.
- In West Africa, we support education programs in Ghana and Sierra Leone.
